Arusha National Park
Experience the wilderness up close
Unlike many other Tanzanian parks, Arusha offers walking safaris, allowing visitors to experience the wilderness up close. With a guide, you can hike the slopes of Mount Meru or along the Momella Lakes and discover the beauty of nature right in its heart. The park also offers classic safari vehicles that take you to viewpoints with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Vibrant landscape full of natural wonders and adventure
One of the greatest assets of Arusha National Park is its varied landscape. The park covers an area of approximately 137 square kilometres and includes different types of ecosystems. Among the main natural beauties is Mount Meru, the second highest mountain in Tanzania, which reaches a height of 4 566 metres above sea level. Mount Meru is not only a challenge for climbers, but also provides spectacular views of nearby majestic Kilimanjaro.
The park is home to several picturesque lakes, such as Momella, which are known for their rich bird population, including flamingos. Another striking feature is the Tululusia Waterfall, hidden in the dense mountain forest, which is home to various species of primates such as guerrillas and baboons.
A Tranquil Haven for Nature and Photography Enthusiasts
Arusha National Park is less crowded than some of the larger parks, which means you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and direct connection to nature without the crowds.
The park offers countless opportunities for photographers, from close-up shots of wildlife to panoramic views of mountains and lakes. Whether it's shots of birds, majestic giraffes or a view of Kilimanjaro, you'll have plenty of chances to capture unique moments.
